Brice Road Street near Refugee Road Street

This area is a short strip of road in an area call Brice Ohio, there is a post office in the depending in which direction you are cominig. This cop hides in the post office parking lot, also there is the Brice Methodist Church there. He also hides in their parking lot. The speed limit there is 25 miles per hour ( and he will ticket). I have been told that most of the ticketed people in that area are in the traffic court. I am not about to find out, because I go the exact speed limit. I am not going to donating them money.

Comments:
There are several things to consider here, #1 there are no sidewalks, children are playing close to the road way. #2 the average speed in the 25 is 53, The officers traditionally do not write tickets for less than 13 over that would be 38, As the Chief I'm constantly trying to protect not only the village residents but the people traveling through.... in 2009 there were 24 Accidents involving School Bus's I'm working very hard to have a professional department, I can assure everyone there has never been a ticket for 28 in a 25 and as long as I'm Chief there never will. I encourage people to let me know if our officers are acting unprofessionally. We work a difficult job, in a area that has changed, with drugs, violence, and increasing traffic make this job difficult. We try to treat everyone with respect, sure there are always challenges, but we will continue to be professional.

I just wanted to say, I'm sorry your having a hard time doing your job. I lived in the Brice area for 10 years. I drove on Brice road daily, sometimes I passed through there 3 to 9 times in one day. I in those 10 years never got a speeding ticket. I knew where the 25 limit started an it was clearly posted, So I always slowed down. I just don't get, A law is a law, as long as you follow the law you shouldn't have any problems? So would those same people be bitching if you didn't do your job so well an god for bid, a person got hurt? Yes they would want to sue or have someone with out a job. I didn't like the low speed limit, it kind of sucked but it was voted on a long time ago. Brice police also stop a lot of drug traffic that goes through there. Please keep fighting to do your jobs. Just please always be fair and most of all be safe. Great job so far, Thank you Brice Police officers.
