Browning Road near Between Maple Ave and Rt. 130

Pennsauken, New JerseyApr 16, 20041 Comments

Merchantville cops will cruise the road at all hours of the day or sit in the school parking lot. It is very easy to speed on this road as its 25MPH is very unrealistic. It is really easy to speed since its a long distance between the Maple Ave light and Rt. 130 light, over 2 miles on a straight road.

Comments:
This is not quite accurate: the distance between Rt 130 and Maple Ave is only about 4 blocks. What the write means is the distance of the total length of Browning Rd, from Rt 130 south for about 2 miles, past the Camden County Technical HS on the left, until it ends at the junction of Rt 38/70 etc. (formerly known as the "Browning Road circle, but it is no longer a circle). In any event, most of this territory along Browning is actually Pennsauken and not Merchantville, but the jurisdictions seem to share violations. In any event, the limit on this broad stretch is only 25 MPH, even though the limit on Maple Ave, a much narrower main road through the center of town, bordered by churches, schools, residences, etc, is Thiry-Five MPH. Go figger.
