The cop in the Walgreen lot isn't looking for speeders. He's going for the cell phone and Seatbelt crowd. Think about it. It's hard to speed with the stop light at Magnolia then Clark, Chandler, etc. We just automatically think that when the cops have someone pulled over, it's for speed. Not so my friends. The vehicle code book is packed full of violations not related to speed. I'm looking into the speed trap thing. As soon as I find one in Burbank, I'll be rich (after the lawsuit of course). I gotta say though, the motors of Burbank are some of the coolest cops I've ever met. Yeah, they WILL ticket you for whatever violation, but they ARE professional and I actually found myself thanking them for the ticket (what???)
I have lived 2 blocks away from the Walgreens you are speaking about and I have never seen a motor officer in the Walgreens parking lot or the Taco Bell parking lot. What I have seen (only 2 or 3 times, though) when you are coming south on Buena Vista approaching Magnolia, is a motor officer at the edge of the parking lot of Full of Life. They stay behind the wall and shoot you from under the tree. You're out of luck by the time you see them.
