Occasionally the Jeffco Sheriff sets up a radar speed trap on the downhill or eastbound direction of Buffalo Park Road, just across from the Wilmot School. The speed limit is 30 MPH, and on school days it is 20, and since you are going downhill after passing Alderfer Three Sisters Park, it is easy to be going 40 or even 50 MPH. The Sheriff parks his SUV across from Hatch Drive on South Greenwood Drive, as he is out of the way of traffic and more concealed there. It is unusual to see a Sheriff on BP RD past the area of the schools, but they regularly are near the schools so you should drive slowly there.
