California between 95th street and 91st street

Please do not take this as anything more than rumor, but I heard it from someone whom I consider reputable and who worked security at Little Company of Mary Hospital. I heard that the LCOM security department apparently has remote cameras, some of which cover California and the series of stop signs between the hospital and the parking lot. If LCOM security sees someone make what they believe to be a rolling stop or feel that someone is speeding, the rumor is that they actively contact EP police with the alleged violator’s vehicle model, color and other identifying information. If this is true, the police don’t even have to see the violator themselves before issuing tickets.

Comments:
I recently received my first ever speeding ticket (in 30 years) driving from 91st to 94th and California in Evergreen Park. The officer was hiding in the hospital parking lot and I allegedly sped from 91st Street to 93rd Street (where there's a stop sign) and then to the next stop sign at 94th Street, where I was pulled over after stopping. That would mean that I went from 0 to 35 in a block and a half period in a 4 cylinder vehicle, only to slow down for a stop sign at 93rd Street and then again for a stop sign at 94th Street. If true about LCOM, wondering how equipment calibration requirements come into play in court. Would a ticket hold up in court if the information comes from a third party that you can't even confront? In any event, I am determined to no longer spend my money in Evergreen Park. Maybe business owners will one day pressure the police department to stop using traffic ticket quotas to earn money if folks start to boycott the town.
