Newburgh Heights, OhioOct 01, 20132 Comments

Cameras have been set up on Harvard Ave near E 52nd beginning the week of September 13th, 2013. Anyone traveling above the 25mph speed limit in that stretch of neighborhood gets hit with a $100 civil fine.

Comments:
I got a speeding ticket in the mail for $150 about a week ago for driving 38 in 25 mph area. The road has 6 lanes, 2 lanes going each way and 2 more lanes, one for turning left and one for turning right. This road does not look like a 25 mph zone at all. I'm from out of town and didn't know about all the speed traps. I've set my GPS to have an audible alarm when driving over the speed limit. Anyone get a ticket and tried to fight it? Did you succeed? Some websites say not to pay it but I don't know if that's such a good idea.

I just got a ticket today, it was mailed to me for $150. For they say I was doing 36mph in a 25mph zone. If I had the mind I would drive over there just to see how the speed limit is but I will never drive over there again. I just got off the freeway which is 60mph seriously. I am not fighting this but isn't call entrapment. I am a careful driver and this is very disturbing that this still goes on, for a little city that needs funds.
