Speed limit is 30 all the way to top of hill, hard to keep it at that speed and climb the hill without going faster before it changes to 55

Just FYI, since the new Walmart was built and a light was installed, the speed limit has changed on this strech of Hwy from 55 to 45. It doesn't go back up to 55 till you are either past Hwy 80 going toward Hartsville, or past the soccer field if you are going toward Gordonsville. In my experience, they will (gratefully) flash me if I forget going up the hill. Also in my experience, during the election periods the speed limit is rigorously enforced, beware. I got popped w/tickets in this and surrounding counties 3 times in 2 months and I know I wasn't alone! Gratefully, the counties didn't "communicate" with each other and I was able to go to defensive driving classes to keep them off my record... but they all got their money.. Carthage was by far the least expensive! Love my little piece of small town USA!
