The Charleston cops are notorious for sitting at this intersection off Lower River Road. They hide behind a hill 1/2 mile out, off of Highway 11. They are located there to catch people on their way to work at Olin Corp., and Arch Chemicals. They are there at shift change almost every day. They catch people going to work, and headed home from work. It is a shame when the local government uses the workers that are working in their area to pay their salaries too. This is a definate speed trap, and they never allow you any leeway at all. My opinion, don’t drive through this town if you can avoid it at all, and don’t buy anything there, as they will collect their revenue from the sale.
