Center Street between Grove Way and Hayward border.
CHP or Alameda County Sheriff park across from the Arco Station and use hand held speed guns targeting drivers going Northbound going up the hill. It is very difficult for some drivers to maintain the posted 25 MPH speed limit while climbing the hill. I had lived in the apartments next to the service station and it was a regular occurrence on the weekend. Even if the cop is citing one driver, he will order other drivers over with hand signals if you seem to be going fast in his opinion. I once saw 3 separate drivers cited at once. Surprisingly, I don’t see this happen going down the hill, possibly because of Hayward PD’s defacto jurisdiction once you cross the bridge over the creek. Use a low gear going up hill, or poke along if you are driving an automatic. Heed the rumble strips and avoid the ticket.
