Niskayuna Town Police cruiser parked in Griffin Motorsports parking lot, facing east to clock traffic headed toward Schenectady, typically during the morning rush hour. This stretch of Central Ave is 40 MPH, and is ruler straight, but the speed trap is at the end of a slight downhill grade, making it easy for your vehicle to pick up a few MPH.

During evening rush hours, the patrol simply switches to the other side of Central Ave., and parks either in the Fuccillo Kia car dealership or the lot just past it to the east, clocking eastbound traffic coming either from Schenectady or recently off Balltown Rd. This location is even more clever, as you cannot see the cruiser until after cresting a rise in Central ave about 1/2 mile past the Balltown Rd. intersection.
