All towns on LBI (from Beach Haven to Loveladies and beyond)are notorious for speed traps. the PD are very aggresive on LBI and constantly on the prowel. speeding tickets are a major contribution to their economy. if you feel you pay enough in taxes…stay very alert because they want more of your hard earned money! speed limits are lower during the summer time and change upwards during winter time so read the signs. if you stay below 35 MPH you will be fine.
