Central Thruway
Baton Rouge/Central City Police Units sit in the middle of the intersections or on the breakdown lanes scanning motorists after they pass the bridge between Choctaw and French town Road. Units also tail drivers starting at the entrance of the Thruway and Florida Blvd and they tag team each other. The speed limit is 50 mph but the way the road conditions are, including the bridges and wide space it would appear that it was built for Interstate speeds, tempting motorists to drive faster to keep up with traffic. This entire new highway since 2013 is a speed-trap. Be aware and do not travel faster than one mile over the speed limit or they will pull you over.
