Clay Road between Eldridge and Beltway 8

Officers will duck into the archery range that is on the south side of clay and clock you from there. They can clock you for about 2 miles down the road because there is a direct line of site all the way to the archery range from the moment you turn eastbound on Clay Rd from Eldridge. An officer in the median about another 100 feet towards the east will clock people coming down the westbound side of Clay as motorists come down the hill…

I was pulled over at this trap 01/28/2012. The last reason on my mind for being pulled over was speeding. This is because I am aware of the police presence and I was monitoring my speed and not going with the flow of traffic. The truth is - after turning on Clay (from Eldridge), I overshot the speed limit at a maximum of 50mph - then let off the accelerator and monitored my speed decline to 45mph. After this, I saw cops walking into the road to stop my vehicle. I was trying to think of why I was being pulled over until the officer said I was going 65mph. The speed he claimed was so excessive, I don't know if he made a mistake or (for whatever reason) is raising revenue. I'm thinking why choose 65 - why not 100? I do drive a Cadi - so if revenue is the issue, I may have had a target on my back. My purpose of posting this is to see if there were others who are certain being pulled over was not warranted.
