Clocktower Road near US Highway 19

Hudson, FloridaMar 28, 20060 Comments

The entire main lenth of Clocktower, from Highway 19 to Fivay (I am not certain if this is also the situation on the back loop of Clocktower that circles around by Lakeside Woodlands)has recently been the site of several speed traps and very strict enforcement of the 30 mph speed limit (including stopping some vehicles for going downhill at 33mph in tyhe 30 mph zone!). The detection vehicles are being parked in differing and very creative locations along the route at various times of the day and vary from regular patrol vehicles, to unmarked cars, to well hidden motorcycles, with the tag and chase team located slightly up ahead to pull you over, but unseen from the spot where the detection vehicle clocks you. The clever set-up continues on the otherside of Fivay as Clocktower becomes Clayton…especially tricky as vehicles scoot across Fivay from Clocktower, attempting to make the world’s shortest green light at that site, and again as people try to get through an opening in the heavy traffic on Hudson to turn onto Clayton to get to Clocktower. Beware, the entire BW developement area from Highway 19 to Hudson is a 30 mph zone and it is being enforced.
