Concord Road near South Cobb Drive

Smyrna, GeorgiaJun 08, 20071 Comments

Police wait half-hidden at Dunkin’ Donuts to trap east-bound motorists. Area has developed into a commercial zone but speed limit remains at the residential level of 35mph, whereas east of S. Cobb Drive, it’s 45mph, so many people assume it’s 45 all the way through there. They will also nail you for improper lane changes (meaning, without turn signal) and improper turns (like making a right turn into the inside lane).

Comments:
This is definitely a speed trap. The Officer did not have the laser pointed out of the window as he stated. I was doing 40mph. The previous sign said the speed limit is 40 mph. He gave me a ticket saying I was doing 50mph in a 35mph zone. Wow... I didn't realize that the speed limit changed from 40 mph down to 35mph. So I am guilty of doing 40mph in a 35mph zone. This is definitely a speed trap.. Please help spread the word.
