Connecticut Avenue near Interstate 495
As you are going north on Connecticut Ave during the evening rush hour, once you are outside of the beltway, be careful to obey the 35 mph speed limit. I have seen motorists pulled over several times and it is no wonder. There are three wide lanes going north and south and it is very easy to assume the speed limit would be at least 45 mph. The flow of traffic easily approaches 45 and it seem that the police dept. knows this.

I live on Conn Ave through this area. I think you’re referring to the block where a speeding car killed an elderly pedestrian crossing the street to go to church and a motorcyclist died upon impact? And one block away at Saul Rd, a pedestrian and neighbor was nearly killed after he was pinned to a telephone pole when speeding cars ran off the road into the sidewalk (thank goodness a nurse happened to drive by and stopped his bleeding otherwise he would have surely died)? Yeah, I guess that’s a “speed trap” for a good reason. This is a residential neighborhood and it was no fun seeing people fight for their lives and die. Slow down.
