Connecticut Avenue southbound after leaving Kensington
After leaving Kensington Connecticut curves to the right. Police will hide in side streets after the curve and before the light at Saul. Generally motorcycle units. Six-lane divided highway with a 35 mph limit – most traffic travels 45 to 50 safely.

I live on Conn Ave through this area. I think you’re referring to the block where a speeding car killed an elderly pedestrian crossing the street to go to church and a motorcyclist died upon impact? And one block away at Saul Rd, a pedestrian and neighbor was nearly killed after he was pinned to a telephone pole when speeding cars ran off the road into the sidewalk (thank goodness a nurse happened to drive by and stopped his bleeding otherwise he would have surely died)? Yeah, I guess that’s a “speed trap” for a good reason. This is a residential neighborhood and it was no fun seeing people fight for their lives and die. Slow down.
