Continental Road

Green Valley, ArizonaDec 06, 20031 Comments

Police car sits just off the Continental just before de la Canoa and catches speeders coming downhill on Continental from the mountains or when they’ve built up speed for the uphill part of the road right after the trap.

de la Canoa dead-ends into Continental; there are no street lamps around and this intersection is very dark since it’s out of town on the way up to Medera Canyon. I was pulled over for failure to come to a full stop at the de la Canoa stop sign. The officer said he saw my front wheels continue to turn instead of stopping. In that darkness he could barely see my car and could never have seen my black-walled tires. Ritzy area and he pulled me over just because he didn’t recognize my car.

Comments:
Where does Continental Road go to the mountains? It runs north and south parallel with the mountains. Unless you're referring to Whitehouse Canyon Rd going up to Madera Canyon.
