Police officer waits on the northeast corner as Grand Ave. approaches Main St. He is close to the intersection and waiting at the top of the hill. He waits between parked cars and lasers you as you are coming up the hill. The road there is FIVE lanes wide and is bordered on one side by railroad tracks and a dirt area and on the other side by the Park & Ride lot which has virtually no traffic during non-rush hours. Having turned onto Grand from a side street, there is NO posted limit so the Basic Speed Law would seem to apply (safe speed for conditions and time of day). However, they are enforcing 35 mph.
