Country Club Rd. 3/4 mi. E. of Hwy.377
Radar on Country Club Rd. just over first hill East of Hwy. 377. Officer will sit off road in shallow ditch. Usually very early a.m. With 30mph limit they can and do write tickets anytime with no tolerance for speed, bright lights, following too close, anything even close to an infraction.

Not a speed trap. You pass two speed limit signs (second one is at the bottom of the hill) before getting to the top of the hill.
Not a speed trap. Vehicles routinely use Country Club Rd to Crawford Rd as their "shortcut" to get from the Corinth/Monteceito area to I-35W. I have personally seen cars drive over 65 mph on Country Club Rd. It is narrow, has a lot of dips and depressions in it, and deep ditches. Also there is a school (Hilltop) just west of the top of the hill. There is a housing addition just inside the city limits called Thornridge that enters and exits on Country Club.
Finally, the speed limit is incorrect, here. It is 45 until you get to the base of the hill (going southwest), at which point you have a sign that clearly states "Reduced Speed Ahead." A couple of hundred yards later, the speed drops to 30. This is important because of reduced visibility at the wooded top of the hill (did you notice the cemetary there?), and the elementary school just beyond the crest of grade. You need to be slowing your roll. We all do.
