CHP Officers and County Sheriff Deputies use moving radar from marked patrol cars on this 2 lane stretch of County Road 102 between Knights Landing and Woodland. They are usually coming at you and make a U-turn to catch you. Most people travel well over the posted 55 mph speed limit.

I never thought of Road 102 as a "speed trap" but the CHP especially often and sheriff's deputies occasionally write speeding tickets on this stretch of county road. I use cruise control to maintain a speed below 60 as it is all too easy on this straight, flat, and wide two-lane to get going well over the speed limit of 55. You are well advised to watch your speed on Road 102.
