County Trunk 22 near 3 miles north of Centre by pass, known as 411 bypass Bypass
This location is very active by Alabama Highway Patrol and Cherokee Sheriff’s Dept. Located at a closed business location Rays Meat Market. Was ticketed there a week ago along with many others on different days. There is a 0 tolerance, according to the officer so beware.

This might be a speed trap, but if you drive speed limit, other drivers will pass you all the time on this county road.
First: there is no 'Cherokee Sheriff's Department'. It would be either ALEA troopers, Colbert County Sheriff's Department, or the Cherokee Police Department. Second: there IS at least ONE current 'officer' working for Cherokee Police Department that would write his own mom a ticket...and LIKE IT. In all fairness, though, Cherokee has always had problems hiring and retaining GOOD officers.
