County Trunk 32 near Yeargan Drive
Outside of the city limit on CR 32, there is no posted speed limit; nor is there any posted speed limit for almost a mile after passing the "Welcome to LaFayette" sign, where it’s posted at 25 MPH. The officer was parked at the entrance to Yeargan Drive, blocking it, and effectively shielding his vehicle from any driver cresting a small rise 1/3 mile after passing the Welcome sign. The officer claimed that the 25-MPH zone commences 1.5 miles from where he was parked. I was cited for driving 45 MPH in a 25-MPH zone, even though I hadn’t yet passed the first 25-MPH sign
