Since the State speed limit is 50mph unless it is on a restricted access or divided highway, this information is false. The speed limit at this portion of road is 50mph and drops to 40mph with plenty of advanced warning. Around the corner is the Dorset Quarries where people not from Vermont park as they wish, how they wish and the pedestrian traffic crossing pays no attention to the right of way vehicular travel. This speed enforcement is to protect the lives of the common-sense impaired out-of-staters....whom of which also seem to think these roads are raceways.
