Crosstown Parkway

Port Saint Lucie, FloridaMar 23, 20103 Comments

From I-95 all the way over the Turnpike Bridge to Floresta. Police using unmarked cars and motorcycles sitting in median turn lanes going both directions at all times of day and night. Brand new 3 to 4 lane road with light traffic makes it enticing to speed. I think the speed limit is 40.

Comments:
Crosstown Parkway currently ends at Tradition, and there you will find a stop sign. Although there is are no crossroads and no trafic coming in any direction, be sure to stop! I have often seen a motocycle policeman waiting to ticket those who role through.

The speed limit is 45, at least west of Airoso. I think it drops down to 35 or 40 east of Airoso, as it is still just 2 lanes. And this is definately a speed trap. There is a high school just west of the turnpike, and I've seen them there around 6:30 in the mornings and around 2:00 pm looking for students going to and from school. Also, they sit on the side streets behind the burms.

I was stopped going 53 miles an hour on the Crosstown Parkway at 8:30 at night over by California Blvd. There were just a couple other cars on the road. And since I couldn't find my insurance within the 3 minutes the officer gave me, I got fined for that, too. When the officer came back to my car, and I showed him my insurance card, he daid it didn't matter since I didn't show it to him within the first 3 minutes.
