Crystyl Ranch Drive and Fire Station

Concord, CaliforniaJan 24, 20121 Comments

The lower part of Crystyl Ranch Drive is a long, downhill two lane, 35mph road with no residences or businesses- just open spaces on either side. Motorcycle cops periodically hide in the fire station bushes and shoot their radar up the hill. This targets only Crystyl Ranch residents as this is not a through street. I guess the nicest neighborhood in Concord meets profiling standards for the cash strapped City of Concord. Favorite times are 9-10AM on weekdays.

Comments:
Just received a speeding ticket here recently, still fighting. The officer was hiding at the bottom of the hill, clocked me while I was driving steep downhill with my foot on the brake. After that, it was a mental stress to drive down that path everyday. I had to brake my car really hard to get 35mph or below, and if there was a car behind me, 80% of the time, I got tailgated. I kept looking at the speedodometer in the fear of getting another ticket, couldn't really focus on the road. Just don't understand why the the speed limit is 35mph on such a steep downhill. If you also get a ticket on this path, strongly enoucage you to leave a comment here. I do believe they are targeting Crystyl Ranch residents. If we get enough facts, maybe we can talk to the government officials about it.
