The Village of Skokie prides itself on a low crime rate. I94 has an exist to Dempster East. After passing US 41 Skokie Blvd, Dempster is 4 lane with middle turn lane. The Evanston Country Club is on on the South side of the street. This is a highly populated Orthodox Jewish area with many crossing the street Friday and Saturday’s for the Sabbath. During the warmer months, a cop car will park either at the exit to the Evanston Country Club, at a business on the north side of the street just east of the club. The speed limit is 35…don’t go faster than 40 or expect a ticket.
