Duval–railroad tracks 11-1, davis elementary 2-3:30

Austin, TexasOct 19, 20102 Comments

Motorcycle cop hides near entrance to National Instruments near RR tracks monitoring lunch hour traffic, then appears to move to the very last bit of school zone for Davis Elementary (closer to Mopac). Unsuspecting motorist will accelerate after passing through school zone and get a ticket. School Zone lasts longer than a motorist would expect, all motorists should beware drive below 20 mph during school zone hours–super difficult on this major road. Also, cops will nab drivers during the times that are technically school zone hours but when there is no actual pedestrian traffic–i.e. before school has even let out.

Comments:
Failing to pay attention to a posted school zone during school hours does not a speed trap make.

Yes No pity for speeding in a School Zone. Not a speed trap. But Duval near railroad tracks definitely is. I Got a ticket for 36 mph when the spped limit is 35 mph.
