If you are coming in to town watch for the speed limit signs, they are a little before town and are enforced. The worst is when you leave town it feels like your out of town but do not speed up until you get to the 65 mph sign. Big rigs get nailed hard.

Cowley is a classic example of a speed trap town. First of all it sits fairly isolated in the middle of nowhere with little economy. As anyone who is on this site knows, many police officers are simply revenue generators, far less concerned about safety. Cowley is a perfect example of this. With little economy they are "forced" to generate revenue somehow...and sitting there all day long everyday with a radar gun is how Cowley does it. Be very wary of driving even one mile an hour over the speed limit as you pass through this town.
