East Washington St. between Maria Drive & McDowell Blvd.
Keep to 35 MPH speed limit on this stretch. During morning commute hours, watch for PPD motorcycle officer in driveway of Chevron station aiming his radar gun at westbound traffic headed toward Highway 101.

This is the definition of a speed trap! 40 then a lower speed than back up to 40.
This is not a trap, just a 35 zone and an officer working radar. just because someone got caught going to fast in a prima facie speed zone, doesn't make it a trap.
Call it what you will. The April 29th article in the Petaluma Argus-Courier, "Police Cite 23 for Speeding in Two-Hour Period," says it all. These tickets were issued on East Washington St. on both sides of the freeway on a weekday afternoon. I'll bet there are at least 23 people in Petaluma right now who would call this stretch a speed trap.
You need to pull out the California Vehicle Code and read the definition of a "speed trap".
Well, since you have proven you can read, maybe you next step could be to practice lifting your right foot just a little and then you can stop crying about being busted for driving like a fool. There is no way this is a speed trap.
