On Eastbound 114, going from DFW airport to Dallas downtown direction, no more than 300 yards before bridge, found car + laser measuring eastbound speed. Patrol car is parked in the leftmost breakdown lane, adjacent to the median, just few a steps before hwy 114 narrows in for Beltline bridge. Targeted cars are 2 leftmost lane cars approaching over a shallow hillcrest. No more than 450 feet to patrol car, when first visual after shallow hill is possible. Observed 5:30pm, during fast flowing rush hour traffic. The jumping back into patrol car, and merging into fast flowing traffic, to pursue an offending car looked unlikely due to all the cars going by on 4 lanes abreast – possibly just a test of laser aim on a large number of eastbound cars, and return later for a catch when less traffic. Speed limit 60mph.
