Evergreen Parkway near Kerr Gulch Road

Evergreen, ColoradoMar 09, 20083 Comments

Policing of this trap is usually only for east bound traffic on this divided highway. Cruisers sit along the left shoulder, along a curve and slight incline. About 500 feet before Kerr Gulch Road.

Comments:
Agreed, this is a major speed trap. On occasion they do run this trap both Eastbound (AM) and Westbound (PM) - the westbound is set up just east of Kerr Gulch on the shoulder. A few years ago they had 14 Jeffco Deputy cars PM and the same the next morning - they wrote over 140 tickets each session in less than 3 hours per session.

Yes, this is a big one. We have 4 drivers in our house, and 2 of 4 have gotten a ticket there. And because of the curve you don't see them until they've got you. Whenever I see people speeding through there I wish I could warn them!!

This is the ultimate trap designed to catch a driver shortly after the speed limit drops from 50 to 40 on a blind curve to the left. BEWARE that they also will hide shortly after the corner at the first and second right turn intersections.
