Policing of this trap is usually only for east bound traffic on this divided highway. Cruisers sit along the left shoulder, along a curve and slight incline. About 500 feet before Kerr Gulch Road.

Agreed, this is a major speed trap. On occasion they do run this trap both Eastbound (AM) and Westbound (PM) - the westbound is set up just east of Kerr Gulch on the shoulder. A few years ago they had 14 Jeffco Deputy cars PM and the same the next morning - they wrote over 140 tickets each session in less than 3 hours per session.
Yes, this is a big one. We have 4 drivers in our house, and 2 of 4 have gotten a ticket there. And because of the curve you don't see them until they've got you. Whenever I see people speeding through there I wish I could warn them!!
This is the ultimate trap designed to catch a driver shortly after the speed limit drops from 50 to 40 on a blind curve to the left. BEWARE that they also will hide shortly after the corner at the first and second right turn intersections.
