Police cars hiding in areas on the side of the cross streets and using radar to check the speed of cars turning from the highways (55 mph speed limit) on to major cross streets (30 Mph and below speed limit) Cross streets are typically unpopulated. In my case after issuing a ticket, the officer drove over 100 yards in reverse down the road to return to the speed trap area.
