Everywhere on base. Usually main roads near shopping and housing areas.
Watch your speed, especially if you’re not in the military. MP’s run radar all the time. If tagged, military has to see their commander while civilians have to appear in Federal Court in downtown San Diego. I was in a Minnesota plated car and after receiving my ticket the young Corporal, also from Minnesota, started asking me about Minnesota, how the Vikings were doing, etc. Needless to say I was not in the mood to talk. You should be OK as long as you watch you speed and don’t argue with the MP’s. They hate that! I really didn’t even think about having to watch my speed on the base which is HUGE. I have to say the Corporal who tagged me was very professional and treated me very well before giving me directions OFF the post. Oh well, I guess you live and learn.
