Exit 322, Peavine Road going North toward Fairfield Glade

Crossville, TennesseeSep 03, 20022 Comments

The speed limit right off the exit is 35 MPH going North for about a mile, then it goes up to 45MPH until you reach Fairfield Glade, then it goes down to 30MPH. The police will catch you in that initial 35MPH zone near all the restaurants and gas stations. They are also on Peavine Road alot before you get to Fairfield Glade. Fairfield Glade, itself, is patrolled by a private security force, and I am not sure if they can issue tickets or not but they are constantly lurking around Peavine Road.

Comments:
This post has to be at least a year old, as the 35 mph section has been raised to 45 for at least that long. Set your cruise control for 47 mph, stay in the right lane, and let the suckers get the tickets!

The security officials paid by Fairfied Glade really are gung-ho and probably more often then not suffer from delusions of granduar. Further, most of the population of Fairfield Glade are old retirees, most of which are terrible drivers and should not be on the road themselves, approve of the actions of these pseudo-cops for the reasons mentioned already. Finally, most of the roads in Cumberland County (where the city of Crossville exists) are miss marked, have speed limit markers missing ( I have reported this myself several times), and have some of the most bizzare speed limits I have ever encountered in this entire country!
