Exits 24 and 27 on Hwy 575, North and South
The State Troopers sit on top of the bridges at these locations at spot the cars with the radar guns. As the speeders pass underneath the bridge, the troopers come down the on ramps in pursuit. From the road level, the patrol cars cannot be seen, except for a small portion of their roof. If you don’t know what to look for, you get caught.
The best defense (other than not speeding) is once you know that you’ve been caught, stop under the bridge and wait for the patrol car to enter the hwy. By the time he realizes that he lost you, you will be more than a half mile behind him. The speed limit here is 70 mph.
