Ferriday, LA

I had just stopped in Ferriday, LA to get gas and a soft drink. It was mid-afternoon on a clear Sunday with normal traffic. I started north on Highway 425. The speed limit was 45 on a 4 lane highway. I was following 3 other cars, the car in the front was a Ferriday, city police. We were all going the speed limit. As we were leaving town the speed limit had increased to 55mph. The city policeman moved to the middle lane and stopped as we passed, he then made a U-turn going back south bound. At that time I noticed flashing police light on a car almost a half mile back coming our way. I had not passed any of the cars going my way. All the cars were in the right lane of two north bound lanes. This was a second city police car that pulled me over about 3/4 of a mile north of town. He stated I was going 58 in a 45 back in town. He did not use radar or laser and it was not checked on the ticket he wrote. I also know for a fact that I wasn’t speeding and had a passenger as a witness to support this. Also of the other cars I was driving with, I had the only car with out of state tags.
I’m in my mid 50’s and have a perfect driving record, and never had a violation in the past. It’s a real shame that small towns in this country can support entrapment and profiling to this extent!
