Last fall while driving through to Pittsburgh, the GPS malfunctioned and we drove around for ages after getting off at the end of 219. We drove on a side road and just passed Otto Rd. on the right. Having missed the right turn, we kept driving to the shade of some trees just a few hundred feet. The engine was turned off while I wrote down information stored on the GPS before I turned it off to reboot it. The whole time we were sitting there, we saw a cruiser across the road facing the same way south. As we made a legal u-turn to go and make the now left turn to Otto Rd. The light came flashing at us just about a hundred feet from the u-turn. We were given a paper, told it was NOT a ticket, unless we failed to fill it in and send it by such a date. He saw us sitting there and turn in front of him. Because we believed him that the two page long paper was not a ticket, ( the ones we've seen are about 3 by 5 or 6 inches long) I folded it and went on our way until in Pittsburgh, we read it and SURPRISE !! 3 points for going at 60?? making a u-turn?? He had no radar in his hands. Court staff told me that they have people going to court there from everywhere. We have tried to retrace the trip and cannot find that spot we stopped at on 219. We remember the barn-like structure well, just along the two lane road.
