FM 146 S near FM 517
Going south on FM 146 from Kemah to Texas City. From FM 717 you have to go over a large bridge. At FM 517 the speed drops to 45 from 60. There will be no more posts for 3 miles out of the trap. 3 or more police, or Sheriffs deputies work both sides of the bridge North and South. They sit 2 abreast on the feeder below the bridge. They are rude and accept no explanation. They run wants and warrents, Auto theft, writing your ticket all the while.

This WAS a trap during construction of a new bridge. that work was finished in late 2009. i do not see cops here any more & I drive that road at least once a week.
the limit now stays at 60 until you reach the 65 zone. it drops as you get close to the main part of Texas City, but gradually - 65 to 60 to 55 to 50, over a stretch of about 2-3 miles.
