Many people don’t realize the Westbound lane of F.M.1461 West of F.M. 2478 (Custer) and East of Hwy.289 belongs to Celina. They will sit behind the guardrail at the Wilson Creek Bridge. Eastbound F.M.1461 belongs to Prosper. Celina has a reputation for trying to control Prosper’s territory. Don’t fall for it! For example, before Prosper had a P.D., Celina will write tickets in downtown Prosper! When people took it to court and got them thrown out, Celina will still pull you over and call the Collin County Constable to write the ticket. Best thing to do if ticketed by Celina is check a Collin County Map that has city limits on it. Many people probably have paid fines to the wrong agency!
