FM 524 / Main Street at Avenue A
When approaching Sweeny from the south on FM 524, the speed limit drops from 60 to 50. A quarter of a mile down the road, the speed limit drops from 50 to 30 (at Elm Street) with no other advance warning sign, and there is usually a city officer parked by the railroad tracks another block down, clocking people coming from that direction.
