On FM-770 right in the middle of town–when you are coming into town, the speed limit is 55. As you come around a curve going north, the speed limit drops to 45 and then as you come out of the curve the limit drops to 35. It’s been this way for years. The 45 sign used to be hidden behind a low hanging branch in a tree. It’s been this way for years. Knowing this, I came through town one night and had to move over to let a tailgater by and he proceeded to accelerate on ahead. It was after dark and I noticed a car coming toward me was slowing down and made a u-turn. He then turned on his lights and pulled me over. I asked him about the car that passed me at a high rate of speed and he would not answer me. I guess I was the easier one to pull over since I stopped. I have been through this town numerous times and have always known not to speed.
