Forest Lawn Drive between 134 Freeway and Barham Blvd.

LAPD (this area is not within Burbank city limits) routinely sets up radar traps along Forest Lawn Drive with motorcycle officers at one or two of these places: Service/groundskeeping staff entrance driveway to Mt. Sinai cemetery (just west of the cemetery entrance); under the pine trees on the north side of Forest Lawn Drive, between Mt. Sinai and Forest Lawn cemetery entrances; or on the dirt turnout on the south side of Forest Lawn Drive, at the very western edge of the Forest Lawn property. The motorcycle officers usually work in teams of two or three along this stretch. The "rural" aspect of the road and lack of congestion is tempting to lead-footers — speed limit on Forest Lawn Drive is 45 mph but it is not unusual to encounter motorists doing 65+ along the stretch. No real schedule as to when they will be there, but I’ve driven this route M-F for years and they are usually there 2-3 times a month.
