Franklin Street off state route 73

I turned left off east route 73 on to Franklin Street in Waynesville and slowed down from 37mph to 25mph when I saw the sign – 25 MILE Speed Limit- which is located about 1 mile from where I entered Franklin Street . You guessed it… I was breaking the Waynesville law…$110.00 fine… Speed trap?

The FIRST traffic sign off route 73 onto Franklin Street has NOW been change from 25 miles limit "AHEAD" to 25 miles limit ! Question: What was the speed limit between route 73 and the "2nd traffic sign " on Frnklin Street before the first sign was changed from 25 miles limit AHEAD to 25 miles???
