Cops will hide in store parking lots. 35 mph – they usually set this trap when funds are low. This holiday season trap was for the city employees Christmas bonus.

Comments:
The state of South Carolina recognizes 1 mile per hour over the posted limit as speeding, but yet Gaffney and most other police agencies allow 10 or more miles per hour over the limit before they even issue a traffic stop, not to mention a speeding citation. The speed limit signs are always posted very obvious, and the reduced speed ahead signs are well posted as well. Most of the speed limit signs have been erected in and around the Gaffney area for over 20 years. Also, at each city limit sign coming in to Gaffney states, "City wide speed limit 30 mph, unless otherwise posted" Furthermore, Webster's Dictionary Does Not have a definition for speed trap. This term is used for those who made a honest mistake of speeding, an officer did his/ her duty by enforcing traffic laws.

You could only consider it a speed trap if you are speeding in excess of 12mph over the posted speed limit. I bet the Gaffney City Police really wish there was some incentive to writing more and more tickets. Don't you think that they would stop everything moving if they got some kind of pay raise for work! Lets be serious here!
