Ga Hwy 520

Richland, GeorgiaFeb 16, 20141 Comments

On my way to Columbus from Albany, I came across a speed limit sign that said 65 mph. Maybe not even two minutes later, I was pulled over by an officer in a black charger sitting on the top side of a hill. By the time I reached the police officer I was going 60 mph but the officer clocked me at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. This was like getting a ticket in the middle of the desert…this was my first ticket in life. I live in North Carolina and was here visiting my mother. I travel a lot and have driven thousands of miles, this was definitely a….speed trap.

Comments:
Traveling from Albany to Columbus early Sunday morning, speed limit was 65 with the exception of small towns. I must have missed the sign to drop to 55 in the middle of nowhere (might have been intentionally hard to view?). Never saw the officer either. I live in Duluth GA, so I am very familiar with speed traps and Richland is definitely one of them. Hopefully the new legislation going through the house now will put an end to rip offs like this. Just remember Richland, Karma's a b*^@h!
