Geddes Road near Dixboro Road

Superior, MichiganSep 04, 20070 Comments

Actually a couple miles East of Dixboro, there is a back-entrance driveway to some U of M property, right at the bottom of a hill (both directions). They seem to be most often pointed Eastbound, catching the Ann Arbor-bound traffic. It is nearly impossible to detect them (visually) before it’s too late–even if you know what you’re looking for. Posted speed is 40, but being a more rural road, typical cruising speed there is 45 to 50 with occasional gusts up to 60. The main reason for such heavy patrols there stems from complaints from the relatively few, wealthy, and secluded residents living along that stretch of road.
