Golf Course Road near Garfield Avenue
On the north side of Golf Course Road between the Scharbauer turnoff and Garfield Avenue, there is a row of houses set back from the street. That group of homes and it’s sub-street is obscured by a medium-sized barrier wall made of brick. One cops hides on foot behind the wall, then steps out into view with a LIDAR gun when a car is coming. When the LIDAR operator nails a motorist, one or more police cruisers hidden on the sub-street will dart out and stop the motorist.
This speed trap is operated especially in mid-afternoon when the school zone on Golf Course Road is in effect.
