Henry Hudson Parkway near Before the Tolls

New York City, New YorkAug 02, 20062 Comments

Northbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway there is a hill right before the tolls. The posted speed limit is 35 but traffic is usauly moving at around 70MPH. Most of the time there are about 4 cars two pulled over getting speeds and the other pulling cars over. This Speed trap is not very comon but is something you should look out for. Also the LEO normaly are using laser so you detectors will not alert. I recommend going 50 around the turn they won’t pull you over for that they are looking for the big speeders.

I got nailed here Saturday morning 4/11/11. Biggest BS trap. Normal limit is 50, everybody does 70. Should I fight it?

Definitely fight it. I was nailed going NB on the Henry Hudson by the Dykman exit on 5/12/11 for doing 65mph. I thought I was going with the flow of traffic and didn't even realize the speed limit had dropped from 50 to 35. It's crazy how the speed limit goes from 50 to 35 right back up 50 in such short distance, especially on a parkway like that. Good luck!
