Highway 290
This is a very bad speed trap!!! The posted speed is 70 but drops to 55 for adout half a mile and then goes right back up to 70. Before you realize it has changed you have went through it. There are no gas stations or stores to let you know that you are in a town.

Actually there is a gas station in the town plus roads that intersect 290 throughout the town. There are also signs that warn you the speed limit is changing from 70 to 55 before it actually happens. There have been a ton of fatal accidents in this town. Slowing down for approximately a mile won't even add 1 minute to your travel time
Agreed! NOT a speed trap. Plenty of warning. Nice peaceful little town. Several businesses and houses, with cross streets feeding right onto the highway.
